Adams honoured to be named USA captain

Alex Scott made his first senior England start this evening (3 October), in a 7-0 win over Croatia.  The midfielder had already made two substitute appearances this international break. AFC Bournemouth development squad left back, Ade Solanke, has enjoyed a successful international break.  The young defender went away with Ireland under-19s and played four matches over the course of the break.  A 1-0 loss to a strong England side kicked things off for Solanke, as he played the full 90-minutes.  Following this, Solanke started his side's second game, which was against the Faroe Islands. Alex Paulsen wins penalty shootout for New Zealand

Alex Paulsen's penalty shootout save secured victory for New Zealand against Panama this morning, earning them a spot in the final of the Kirin Cup.  The All Whites played out a 1-1 draw with Panama over 90 minutes, before Paulsen saved a spot-kick in a 5-3 shootout win.  New Zealand will face one of Japan or Ecuador in the final, which takes place in Yokohama on Monday 5th October.

AFC Bournemouth is pleased to announce that Nefeye Osazee has signed his first professional contract with the club. The young midfielder joined the Cherries as a first-year scholar after previously being part of Arsenal’s academy.
