Five Things
What a depressing Sunday. What a letdown on opening day. Grab your coffee and let’s roll and power through what should be a sad week. Some Things Don’t And Won’t Change What a range of emotions: the highest of highs […] The post Five Things appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Todd Bowles And The AFC North Hex
The football gods are apparently angry with KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles. Otherwise, this wouldn’t be so lopsided. Joe has no idea what Bowles did to the AFC North over the years. But Joe sure knows what the AFC North […] The post Todd Bowles And The AFC North Hex appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bucs Passing Offense Is “Untenable”
There is a reason for that. Ben Solak of ESPN tore apart Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson and his game plan yesterday because it was so “passive,” in Solak’s words. In short, the Bucs, on 42 percent of their passes, […] The post Bucs Passing Offense Is “Untenable” appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Benjamin Morrison Stands Tall
It wasn’t perfect for Bucs cornerback Benjamin Morrison today against the Bengals, but it sure was damn encouraging. Joe has to acknowledge the young man. Pressed into duty early in the first half after fellow second-year cornerback Jacob Parrish left […] The post Benjamin Morrison Stands Tall appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Ira Kaufman’s 10 Takeaways From Bucs-Bengals
BY IRA KAUFMAN Give yourself a chance to win the darn game. That’s the mantra of a disappointed Buc Nation after Tampa Bay self-destructed in a 33-27 setback at Cincinnati that ended a streak of five consecutive Week 1 victories. […] The post Ira Kaufman’s 10 Takeaways From Bucs-Bengals appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Todd Bowles Doesn’t Kill Baker Mayfield Over Fumbles, But That Doesn’t Mean He Liked Them
NFL defensive coaches hate turnovers, maybe worse than Joe hates warm beers. And no, KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles was none too pleased at the Bucs playing Santa Claus with four fumbles that led to 24 Bengals points in a […] The post Todd Bowles Doesn’t Kill Baker Mayfield Over Fumbles, But That Doesn’t Mean He Liked Them appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
What A Debut!
So how about the guy so many people whined and kvetched over who couldn’t defend the pass. The self-proclaimed sophists of the NFL draft swore on a stack of Bibles that Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht whiffed in the […] The post What A Debut! appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Todd Bowles Laments Bad Tackling
Keionte Scott, Alex Anzalone, Benjamin Morrison and others had shoddy tackle attempts today. Those and more were on the mind of head coach/defensive guru Todd Bowles after the loss to Cincinnati. Bowles said he is interested to review the film […] The post Todd Bowles Laments Bad Tackling appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Zyon McCollum: Not Distraught But Defense Needs Work
Whether it was a young player or a veteran, each was in agreement: The defense needed to play better. Hey, let’s think about this: Joe thought, and believed many others did, too, that Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were going […] The post Zyon McCollum: Not Distraught But Defense Needs Work appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
“That’s The First Time It Was That Bad”
The NFL has countless billions of dollars and can play games in Australia and track players via satellite, but it can’t figure out how to make sure a speaker in a helmet doesn’t glitch out. It’s shameful. And it was […] The post “That’s The First Time It Was That Bad” appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Same Ol’ Bucs
KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles has kept his record against AFC North teams intact. Entering today’s game in Cincinnati, Bowles had never beaten an AFC North team as Bucs head coach. That continued today in a 33-27 loss to the […] The post Same Ol’ Bucs appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bucs Offensive Line Looked Average
Joe is trying to be disciplined and to not overreact. But it is concerning. Consider KitKat-eating Todd Bowles has never found a way to beat an AFC North team. Never. Not even the lousy, laughable Browns. Joe thinks that has […] The post Bucs Offensive Line Looked Average appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bucs Tied For NFC South Lead
What a day for the Buccaneers! Yeah, they lost, but they’re still tied for the NFC South landfill lead. The Panthers were clubbed by the Bears 59-37 in Chicago. Falcons No. 3 QB Cooper Rush threw a pick-6 to T.J. […] The post Bucs Tied For NFC South Lead appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Rough Start For Zac Robinson
It’s not Zac Robinson’s fault that his quarterback played like he had K-Y hands. But Joe will put the handful of Bucs presnap penalties on the new Tampa Bay offensive coordinator. That was simply inexcusable from a veteran quarterback and […] The post Rough Start For Zac Robinson appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Just One Bucs Sack On 35 Joe Burrow Pass Attempt
Most NFL defenses have a goal of at least one sack per 12 pass attempts. The Bucs probably have a similar goal, but they were nowhere near it today with their revamped pass rush. Inside linebacker Josiah Trotter got a […] The post Just One Bucs Sack On 35 Joe Burrow Pass Attempt appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bengals 33, Buccaneers 27
Baker Mayfield did a Jameis Winston impression this afternoon, handing the Bengals a touchdown and fumbling away points on the board for Tampa Bay. And he threw in a third fumble, too. Ballgame! Mayfield tied for the NFL lead in […] The post Bengals 33, Buccaneers 27 appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .

Bellcow Time For Bucky Irving
Absolutely the Bucs will be trying to set a tone today with Bucky Irving as their bellcow running back. It’ll be a fun watch to see exactly how much the Bucs push Irving, who played hurt last season with some […] The post Bellcow Time For Bucky Irving appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Vita Vea Needs To Earn His Money
Joe still remembers how Bucs defensive tackle Vita Vea asked to be traded, refused to practice and threatened to mess up the Bucs’ season because he didn’t want to play for the $18 million he agreed to accept. At One […] The post Vita Vea Needs To Earn His Money appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Congratulations, Bucs Fans!
How many more Bucs games do we have in this life? How many more opening days? It’s a personal question. But when you start to think about the answer, it underscores how precious each game should be for a Bucs […] The post Congratulations, Bucs Fans! appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Josiah Trotter Fulfills Lifelong Dream Today
The Bucs will likely start three rookies on defense. All are heavy hitters, physical players. You have Rueben Bain at outside linebacker, Josiah Trotter at inside linebacker and Keionte Scott at nickel. If those two can play to their potential, […] The post Josiah Trotter Fulfills Lifelong Dream Today appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Jacob Parrish Personifies Next-Play Mentality
You’ve heard the old football cliché about how a cornerback has to have a short memory? That sooner or later he will get burned and he must forget quickly and move on to the next play quickly? Jacob Parrish embraces […] The post Jacob Parrish Personifies Next-Play Mentality appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bucs Fans May See Ted Hurst Get Several Snaps
If you believe NFL injury reports, Bucs receiver Jalen McMillan may not play this afternoon as the Bucs open their 2026 season in Cincinnati. Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka will definitely be on the field. And fans may get to […] The post Bucs Fans May See Ted Hurst Get Several Snaps appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
Bucs May Have Found A Special Teams Stud
This might just be a good under-the-radar signing. So early this month the Bucs signed former Chiefs corner Kevin Knowles, who enters his second season in the NFL. The Bucs have awful depth at corner, so this makes sense on […] The post Bucs May Have Found A Special Teams Stud appeared first on JoeBucsFan.com .
