Braves vs Mets chat and discussion: Martín Pérez vs. Nolan McLean
With the Phillies biting at the Braves’ heels, Atlanta needs every win it can get right now. The Braves have taken care of business against the Mets through two games, celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a 14-3 demolition Saturday night. Now they give the ball to Martín Pérez Sunday afternoon against New York’s Nolan McLean […]
Jim Jarvis, Dominic Smith starting Braves’ Sunday matinee vs. Mets
With a right-handed starter on the mound for the New York Mets in Sunday’s 12:30 p.m. ET game, the Atlanta Braves unsurprisingly are pivoting back to a righty-focused batting order. Drake Baldwin is back in the leadoff spot after Mauricio Dubón led off Saturday night, dropping Dubón into the five-hole. Additionally, Dominic Smith gets the start at […]
Carlos Carrasco returns, JR Ritchie optioned
The Atlanta Braves have selected pitcher Carlos Carrasco to the active roster and optioned pitcher JR Ritchie to Triple-A. Ritchie pitched three innings an notched his first career save – of the three inning variety – last night. Carrasco has pitched in seven games with the Braves this season and has been through the “designated […]
Braves Minor League Recap: Herick Hernandez K’s 8
The action in the Atlanta Braves system on the 4th of July was nearly cut in half due to rain and power issues cancelling three of the seven games on the slate. Of the four games on the schedule to get played the Braves teams lost the first three, and needed a late inning comeback […]
Braves look to keep renewed July vibes rolling with Martín Pérez facing Mets
After a dismal June, July has started pretty well for the Atlanta Braves. The Braves have started the month with three wins in four games, clinching at least a split of their four-game series against the New York Mets with a 14-3 demolition Saturday night. But considering Atlanta lost six of its last seven series […]
Do you need a premium seat for Braves games?
By the time you read this, I’ll likely be on my way to Truist Park for today’s game with the Braves. During day games, I do enjoy some of their premium seating options. I’m not there but the food, but rather the air conditioning. On a hot day, Truist Park lets you know that its […]
Braves News: All-Star selections, Ha-Seong Kim to the IL, more
Well the All-Star game selections were announced Saturday night and while these haven’t exactly been meritocratic, there were some funny ones (Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with a 97 wRC+, for example). It’s a shame that Dylan Lee didn’t make the team, though there may be time yet as a replacement. Dylan is 6th in all of […]
Braves finally back Chris Sale, as Mets’ defense provides an assist
With Chris Sale on the mound, the Braves were going for a much-needed win against the Mets with Chris Sale on the mound. Sale pitching is always comforting, but the Braves were unable to win a Chris Sale start in the month of June. Both Sale and Sean Manaea worked around a base hit in […]
Ozzie Albies, Drake Baldwin, Raisel Iglesias, Matt Olson and Chris Sale will represent Braves at 2026 MLB All-Star Game
The starters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game have officially been revealed ahead of tonight’s nationally-televised game on FOX between out Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets. As it turns out, the locals in Philadelphia will, in fact, get a chance to boo their divisional rivals as Ozzie Albies and Drake Baldwin have both […]

Jorge Mateo starts at shortstop, Joey Bart catches against Mets
With Ha-Seong Kim hitting the IL, Jorge Mateo gets the start at shortstop over Jim Jarvis, facing the lefty Manaea. Elsewhere, Joey Bart starts at catcher, with Baldwin DHing and batting second. Austin Riley bats fifth, ahead of Michael Harris for reasons that are clearly more about mixing lefties and righties than recent production. They […]
Braves look to make it two in a row as Chris Sale starts against Mets
The Braves are exiting a June that was absolutely miserable, but they finally hit a handful of homers on Friday night, hosting the Mets. They’ve got another favorable matchup here, with Chris Sale on the mound and facing the imminently hittable Sean Manaea for New York. We’ve got a national TV matchup on the 250th […]
Braves place Ha-Seong Kim on IL, recall JR Ritchie in bevy of moves
The Atlanta Braves have made handful of moves this July 4th, with the team placing struggling shortstop Ha-Seong Kim on the injured list with right middle finger inflammation. Taking his place on the roster is utility man Kyle Farmer, who was activated from the IL. Additionally, the team re-called pitcher JR Ritchie and opted reliever […]
Braves Minor League Recap: Jordan Groshans homers twice for Columbus
It was a bit of a weird day down on the farm as one team’s game got cut short due to technical difficulties, but there was plenty of action to go around. Let’s get into it. (42-42) Gwinnett Stripes 0, (36-49) Durham Bulls 3 Box Score All in all, there wasn’t much to write home […]
Are the Braves all set with Jorge Mateo at shortstop?
Don’t look now, but Jorge Mateo is having a career year. He is working on career highs in batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging. And it’s not luck driven, as his xwOBA, xwOBAcon, xBA, and xSLG are at career highs as well. Your browser does not support the video tag. Jorge is crushing the fastball […]
Braves News: Bullpen shuffle, Matt Olson homers twice, and more
The Atlanta Braves continued to shuffle things around and kicked off Friday with a few moves in the bullpen. First, the club announced that righty Anthony Molina was recalled to Atlanta, fellow righty James Karinchak was optioned to Triple-A, and lefty Danny Young was reinstated from the injured list. Finally, righty Ian Hamilton was designated […]
Homer Happy Braves secure win against Mets in series opener
If you’re looking for a place to look at all of the Atlanta Braves’ home runs of the night in their 5-3 win against the New York Mets, you’ve found the place. Because this might be the turnaround we discussed in the preview, we’re going to do something a little different. Starting with a quick […]
Braves vs Mets chat and discussion: Grant Holmes vs Christian Scott
It’s time the Atlanta Braves turn things around to work in their favor before the All-Star break hits…what better way to do it than against their division rivals that are ranked last in the Division? Don’t count the New York Mets out…they took the first series win and are scheduled to face this team a […]
Jorge Mateo returns to lineup in Mets opener
The Atlanta Braves are using this four-game series as the turning point from their June hitting woes, right? Let’s look at this lineup. The lineup is almost identical to Thursday’s quiet finale. So, the question is, what are we hoping to accomplish with the same look after a disappointing ending to the previous game? If […]
Grant Holmes prepares to face New York Mets in series opener
The Atlanta Braves are set to face their division rival for the second time this year. The last-place New York Mets took the first series, scoring high in their wins back in June. Grant Holmes is set to take the mound and is looking to kick the series off on a high note. Holmes is […]
James Karinchak and Ian Hamilton out in Braves bullpen shuffle
The Atlanta Braves, who are leading the NL East for now, have made a few moves before Grant Holmes takes the hill tonight versus the Mets. Turns out that a seven-run inning will get someone’s attention. The Braves underwent a partial bullpen-ectomy last night. The Braves have recalled RHP Anthony Molina to Atlanta after optioning RHP […]
Braves vs. Cardinals series recap: Two bad innings, two bad days, ‘Too bad, Braves’
The St. Louis Cardinals ended up winning this series not just in the most important column but also on the aggregate as well. 17-13 ended up being the final aggregate score during this series and of those 17 runs, 11 of those St. Louis runs were scored in just two of the 27 innings that […]
Braves Minor League Recap: Owen Carey Homers Again
It’s been a dream of a past week for Owen Carey, who is showing power we’ve never seen from him before while maintaining an lengthening hitting streak. The pitching on the minor league side also had much intrigue, with Garrett Baumann pitching in Gwinnett and Lucas Braun posting his best start of the season for […]
Will you be blowing something up or watching stuff get blown up?
The Braves are decidedly not blowing anything up. They were last in homers in June and got outhomered 5-1 by the Cardinals, hitting their sole homer in the game they won. But, what about you? Risking your fingers (maybe), staring up at the sky, or maybe a mix of both?
Braves News: Andrew McCutchen signed, Jim Jarvis recalled, and more
The Atlanta Braves have reportedly agreed to a minor league deal with outfielder/designated hitter Andrew McCutchen. The 39-year-old has spent the 2026 season with the Texas Rangers, where he appeared in 37 games and averaged a subpar .192 at the plate. He was released at the end of May and according to the transaction log, […]
