With the fifth overall pick in the NHL Draft, the Preds have selected center Brady Martin.
Martin played for the Saulte Ste. Marie Greyhounds last season, and represented Canada at the WJC, wearing an A for both teams. Almost every scouting organization had him set to go in the first half of the first round, and although he came off the board a little earlier than expected, the Preds remain in dire need of a strong center.
