The Blackhawks built a lead and kept it from slipping away on Sunday afternoon, winning 4-0 over the Utah Mammoth.
In the final minute of the first period, A forecheck from Tyler Bertuzzi led to a power-play goal from Teuvo that sent Chicago to the first intermission with a 1-0 lead.

Game Preview
Minimal rest is available to the Hawks this weekend as they head to Salt Lake City this afternoon for a game against the Utah Mammoth.
These two teams will become quite familiar with each other in March, as they’ll play three times in the next two weeks to account for 75 percent of their meeting this season. The other 25 percent came back in October when the Hawks won 3-1 at the United Center for their first win of the season. Since then, a youthful Utah lineup has worked its way into pos...
Despite grabbing the early lead and keeping the Colorado Avalanche at bay for most of the first 40 minutes — well, Spencer Knight did, anyway — the Chicago Blackhawks couldn’t hold on forever, falling 3-1 on Saturday night in Denver.
The Blackhawks struck first at 6:31 of the first period as Connor Bedard corralled Tyler Bertuzzi’s centering feed and snapped a heavy wrist shot for a power-play goal and a 1-0 lead.

In continuation of the Central Division showdowns, the Colorado Avalanche moved on in their busy schedule in hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in a Saturday afternoon affair hoping to erase the bitter taste of defeat from two nights ago. It wasn’t a masterful effort but still Colorado found enough to end up with a 3-1 win […]

With two of five games in a seven day stretch now behind them, it’s safe to assume that the Colorado Avalanche were looking forward to the weekend. This afternoon, the visiting Chicago Blackhawks will make their only regular season appearance in Denver, as the Avs face their third consecutive Central Division opponent in four days. […]
The Blackhawks kick off a weekend back-to-back in Denver on Saturday evening against the league-leading Colorado Avalanche.
Colorado has basically spent this season doing laps around the rest of the league. At 38-10-9 (.746 points percentage), they’re five points clear of the next closest team in the standings and looking every bit like a group that knows exactly how good it is. The underlying numbers are just as suffocating: Colorado owns 56.14 percent of shot attempts (second in the lea...

Heading into the Olympic break, the Chicago Blackhawks’ penalty kill ranked No. 1 in the NHL with an 85.7 percent conversion rate. Last season it was ranked 14th overall (79.3 percent) and was 27th in the 2023-24 season (75.8 percent). I thought it would be a good exercise to take a look at a couple of their recent games and examine what’s made the Blackhawks’ penalty kill so successful this season.

The Blackhawks came back from the Olympic break looking much like the team from before it, losing 4-2 on the road to the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.
After six minutes of unsuccessful power-play time for the Hawks early in the first period, Filip Forsberg jumped on this turnover for the first goal of the game:

The Blackhawks return from the Olympic break on Thurdsay night, kicking off a four-game road trip with a stop in Nashville to face the Predators.
These two teams met about six weeks ago at the same place, with Chicago winning 3-0 thanks to an incredible effort from rookie goalie Drew Commesso, who twirled a 36-save shutout in net while much of the Blackhawks roster was exhausted from either playing a second game in as many nights or from whatever illness was running rampant in the locker ...

2025-26 Midseason Blackhawks ...
There’s this hockey adage that tends to come up around the trade deadline, when trade targets are being analyzed in terms of how they’ll help a team contending for the Cup. It’s comes with phrases like “fourth-liner on a good team” or “additional blue-line depth,” with the general idea that a player who moves up in the NHL standings in a trade typically moves down the lineup, because good teams have better players occupying the prime spots. Breaking news, right?

The Connor Murphy trade chatter is picking up steam now that the trade freeze has been lifted, and the Edmonton Oilers sound like a team that could be interested. Edmonton Journal’s Jim Matheson floated the idea that Edmonton’s bigger deadline need is a right-shot top-four defender, and he pointed to Murphy as a good fit next to Darnell Nurse if the Chicago Blackhawks decide to sell.
