Coming off an eighth consecutive losing season, plus the loss of Shohei Ohtani to free agency, the Los Angeles Angels have become an afterthought in Major League Baseball. They’re projected to win 78 games by FanGraphs, which would be a ninth straight season finishing with a losing record and a tenth straight season without making […]

So, the Anaheim Ducks just got pants’d on live TV with hockey night in Canada 9-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs. In what can only be seen as the bottoming out of this season so far, we saw the variance between two ends of the hockey spectrum in almost every way.
At one end, the Toronto Maple Leafs. A team between 2007 – 2016 that had been consistently at the bottom of the Northeast/Atlantic Division, now reaping the rewards of their full rebuild. A team with high draft picks demanding high c...
Good evening Anaheim,
With the current bleak outlook for this Anaheim Ducks squad, there hasn’t been much to look forward to. Injuries every other minute, the offense running dry and completely fabricated Frank Seravalli rumors, it’s been tough. So, trying to find brevity in this season, a new wrinkle has developed. Corey Perry, the third leading points scorer in Ducks history, is free to sign with a team again. This comes after his contract termination from the Chicago Blackhawks and a s...
The Anaheim Ducks made a shocking trade Monday evening sending young defenseman Jamie Drysdale and their own 2025 2nd Round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for the rights to forward Cutter Gauthier. It was a move that caught both fanbases and everyone else around the league by complete surprise and could change the trajectory of both organizations over the next several years. We asked our staff for their thoughts on some of the more pressing questions to come out of this deal to se...
Good Morning Anaheim,
As our Ducks sit in the middle of a rather impressive 3-13 stretch of games and the Christmas break coming soon, multiple questions remain on this Ducks team. What changes have been made in the lines to offset the loss of McTavish and Z? What can this losing skid tell us about the coaching staff and the Ver-Build as a whole? And should we all just dig our heads in and rewatch highlights from that two-week span when we were a wildcard team? Well, the answers to those ...
The Ducks will do their best to end their losing streak at 7-games tonight as they take on the Washington Capitals for the 23rd regular season matchup. The Ducks are coming off a hard fought loss to the Vancouver Canucks, one of the best teams in the NHL this season and probably the biggest surprise thus far. These two teams hardly get the chance to play each other but anytime the likes of future Hall-of-Famer Alexander Ovechkin, USA hero TJ Oshie, a Strome brother battle, return of the fro (S...

It’s the King’s tonight. I have this theory on the West. It’s WIDE OPEN. I’m not seeing a clearcut favorite or clearcut easy opponent.
If Vegas and Colorado were at 100% then I’d say them without hesitation.
LA is a beautiful team but the goaltending situation (while slightly improved) isn’t the best.
We have a beautiful group of 4 forwards outscoring opponents and hiding a lot of mistakes. We don’t have a legit go...

A game of soccer was played in Portland. Not sure if anyone had any fun. The Portland Timbers drew with the Los Angeles Galaxy 0-0 in a sunny and chilly afternoon at Providence Park. Two more Timbers players went down with injury, as both Marvin Loria and David Bingham had to exit the game with what appeared to be hamstring injuries. Portland kept their first clean sheet since opening weekend, and also collected their first point since that first game.

Two teams who have stumbled out of the gates meet as Portland hosts LA. After a five goal shelling suffered in Georgia, the Portland Timbers (1-3-0) will have to have a short memory and put that loss behind them as they welcome the Los Angeles Galaxy (0-1-2) to Providence in a big early season Western Conference clash.

Kawhi Leonard posts up before no doubt hitting something crazy for the Clippers. | Photo by Garrett Ellwood/NBAE via Getty Images
Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points on 12-for-19 from the field, but he couldn’t save the Clippers from falling 134-124 to the Denver Nuggets. Seemingly not content with helping to produce the second highest-scoring game in NBA history , the Los Angeles Clippers went to overtime once again, as they fell 134-124 to the Denver Nuggets .

Russell Westbrook celebrates his Clippers debut. | Photo by Harry How/Getty Images
The Russell Westbrook era got off to the craziest start possible for the Clippers. In a game that effectively resembled a belated NBA All-Star exhibition matchup, the Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Sacramento Kings, 176-175, in double overtime.
It was the second-highest scoring game in the league’s history, as both sides shot the lights out and played at an unbelievable pace right up until the final buz...

Many Orlando Magic fans still rue the day that All-Star and Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal left the City Beautiful for the bright lights of Los Angeles.
On this day 25 years ago, however, it was the first-ever draft pick of the Magic that played the role of hero. In O’Neal’s return, Nick Anderson buried a late 3-pointer to lift Orlando to a thrilling 98-96 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
O’Neal was in his second season with the Lakers, but did not play in the trip to Orlando the...
Russell Westbrook goes past Terance Mann to get to the rim, but will he do the same in the Clippers’ rotation? | Luis Sinco / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images
Fans on both sides are deciding they already know how this one will go, so what should we expect from Russell Westbrook with the Clippers? A clip of Anthony Edwards describing the one thing he’d change about the NBA went viral this All-Star weekend.

The Clippers take yet another shot at addressing their lack of a play-making point guard. After finalizing a contract buyout with the Utah Jazz, 11-year veteran Russell Westbrook is joining the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Prior to the end of the trade deadline, the nine-time All-Star guard was dealt from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz and will now suit up for the Lakers’ crosstown counterparts.

There’s no doubt about it. In the Los Angeles Clippers history, there isn’t much lifting trophies and hanging banners.
In fact, there’s none.
Even after half a decade, three different cities, the Clippers have still yet to make a mark on the NBA’s history book. But what they did do is produce the greatest line of off-the-bench scorers. The players that take over and entirely shift the momentum game. The players that check in on the co...

168 games later, the sharpshooter leaves L.A., having won the hearts of Clippers fans for good and all. When I walk around the vast gothic campus of Duke University, remnants of Luke Kennard greet my gaze.
Hung on one of the door rooms of Duke’s Trinity Residence Hall is a whiteboard that reads, “Who is your favorite Duke basketball player of all time?” Above the obvious fan favorites — the likes of Paolo Banchero, Jayson Tatum, and Zio...

Can the Blues turn around a sinking ship? To say that the Blues’ play as of late has been uninspiring is being very generous. Mired in their longest regulation losing streak since Craig Berube took over as coach, the pressure is on for this team to play as well as they did during the first three games.
Brandon Saad is still out for tonight, but the team has options, and they’ve chosen to exercise them. From stlblues.com, here’re tonight’s lines:

What is going on with this team? It’s been a while since Blues fans have been treated to a stretch of play this putrid. What began as a good effort loss to the Winnipeg Jets last week has slid into an absolute dumpster fire in which it looks like the Blues are actively trying to lose games.
Their 6-2 loss against the Nashville Predators was bad, but their 7-4 loss on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens was atrocious. A blown 3-1 lead sl...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be in.
He’s getting one more game’s worth of rest before returning Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings, and honestly, a healthy Buchnevich is worth one more game out. Will that make a win again...

Catching up on some news items out of Angels camp in recent days After more than three months with no baseball whatsoever, we’re finally back to business as usual. Spring Training games have been going on for almost a week now, and Opening Day is on all of our collective radars just a few weeks away.
After staying quiet for the first couple of days post-lockout, the Angels jumped back into the mix with a couple of moves of their own . They’ve also been in the...
