Cara Consuegra has an interesting thing happening with her 2025-26 Marquette women’s basketball team: She brings everyone back from her first season in charge. Not her entire rotation, not everyone except her seniors. Everyone, all 12 women, back for one more go-around. That does present a teeeeeeny little bit of a problem when it comes […]
If you ask Tyrese Martin what he thinks of his coach, Jordi Fernandez, his response is simple: “I love him.” D’Angelo Russell called him a “genius” at preparing his team for games despite a franchise record for games lost to injury/illness. Players from Cam Johnson to Cam Thomas have all had positive things to say […]

As the Colorado Avalanche began the 2025-26 season relatively healthy and are overall still in pretty good shape (knock on wood), there are still a few injuries the team is dealing with some recent updates. Samuel Girard After working hard to rehab and return from a offseason lower-body injury just in time to get in […]
The Tennessee Titans are the laughing stock of the NFL. They have an owner who wants to pull the strings at every turn and hide while she does it. Until that changes, it is going to take a whole lot of luck for them to become a winning franchise. As Metallica would say, it’s sad […]
In April of 2024, the Virginia Cavaliers announced a home-and-away football series with Washington State, with the Charlottesville contest in 2025 and the battle in Pullman in 2031. An interesting series as these two teams have met only one other time in 1976, when the ‘Hoos claimed a 38-17 win over the Cougars. Virginia will […]
The Dolphins have no choice but to get rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers up to NFL speed by giving him real playing time.
Good morning A’s fans! The playoffs are set to continue as we head back to the American League. The Championship series heads to Seattle for the first time in over two decades as the Seattle Mariners are set to play host to the Toronto Blue Jays in a critical Game 3. Our rivals to the […]
Well that was a very eventful week in the Big Ten. Indiana with a huge win for their program and are now a serious CFP contender. Northwestern sends James Franklin packing and Penn State now has a very realistic chance to not make a bowl. USC making a strong argument as the 4th best team […]

Austin Keeney, Matt Nelson, and Dylan Coon are all back together to discuss Iowa State’s disappointing loss to Colorado. Austin had an unfortunate weekend dealing with unruly fans and high prices in Boulder. The guys try to make sense of how a team can have 3 kicker injuries in one year on top of everything […]
The Caps have been one of the best teams in MLS this season.

Extending young stars is not something the Nationals organization has done very successfully in its history, with countless homegrown stars such as Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, Anthony Rendon, and Trea Turner eventually leaving via free agency or being traded before their contracts with the club could run out. There has been some success stories, such […]
What do Cameron James, Logan Purcell, and Saia Mapakaitolo all have in common? All three offensive linemen signed with the Minnesota Golden Gophers out of high school in 2020. And all three are no longer on the roster. James lasted all of one season in Minneapolis before transferring to Jackson State. It’s the same story […]
In his introductory press conference, Coach Wade promised the Wolfpack would be in the top 4 in the league and make the NCAA tournment. Looks like he is right on course before the season. Darrion Williams (23 votes) beat out Cam Boozer (19 votes). They were the overwhelming favorites, with JJ Starling and Markus Burton […]
The Buffalo Bills fell to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night and dropped to 4-2, a record that’s very similar to their win/loss total through six weeks the last few years. This year may feel different to Bills Mafia due to the streakiness of Buffalo’s offense and the less-than-MVP-level play they’ve observed from quarterback Josh […]
Dodger pitching has utterly dominated a Brewer offense that has looked jumpy, unprepared, and not ready for the big moment in the first two games of the National League Championship Series. If Milwaukee is going to get this series back to Milwaukee, that offense will need to find itself in a hurry. But let’s put […]
Even though the 2025 NFL season just started, it’s never too early to look ahead toward the 2026 NFL Draft. This weekly series will take a closer look at some of the prospects the Carolina Panthers could select in the 2026 iteration of the Draft. In this series, we’ll only be looking at prospects the […]
Michigan came into Saturday’s game against USC, if not riding high, at least feeling good about itself. After admittedly “taking the air out of the ball” on offense in a week two loss to Oklahoma, the Wolverines opened things up offensively, loosening the reins on freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood and getting more creative in their […]
Newcastle United are planning to hand out new long-term contracts to three key players — Sandro Tonali, Tino Livramento, and Sven Botman — once incoming sporting director Ross Wilson is officially appointed. According to “i News” reporter Mark Douglas, Wilson’s arrival from Nottingham Forest is now at an advanced stage, with Newcastle aiming to complete […]
With just over 11 minutes left in the second quarter the Buffalo Bills allowed an 81-yard touchdown by Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson. It was Atlanta’s third touchdown on four drives, it was at this point I became convinced I’d be writing about one of the worst defensive performances I’ve ever witnessed. But then […]
Red Wings Rumblings
Somber yet positive. That’s my vibe today as a fan of the Detroit Red Wings. Somber because we are still waiting to learn more about Lucas Raymond’s health. He left the game Monday with an upper-body injury after taking a heavy hit right on the boards. Didn’t look great, but he was able to move his arm afterward FWIW. No practice yesterday, so we’ll find out more later today.
UPDATE: Lucas Raymond skated at practice . Coach says he’s out tonight and is considered ...
Kicking off the 2026 draft year with my first watch list, looking at some teammates and re-entry defensemen who have caught my eye already.
A rumored Miami Dolphins head coaching candidate just hit Mike McDaniel with the ultimate disrespect.
