Bedard: Patriots Practice Report 08.20.26 (Defense) - Marcus Jones (2 INTs) stars early, Eagles hit in red zone

After watching the offense yesterday, I concentrated on the Patriots' defense today (outside of NE offensive line pass rush 1-on-1s), and the unit showed well early despite not having starting S Craig Woodson (Dell Pettus and John Saunders rotated), and LB Christian Ellis (limited) splitting time with KJ Britt, and cornerbacks Charles Woods, Kindle Vildor and Marcellas Dial rotating.

Simone: It's the rest of the Celtics that matter most

I read a comment on a recent post here, and it formed a thought bubble. It made me realize how important "the rest" of the Boston Celtics will be this season. This was the comment (or at least, the part of the comment that sparked the idea):

Red Sox snap out of offensive funk with 11-run outburst against Diamondbacks

Boston opened its six-game homestand by pounding out 16 hits, including seven doubles and two home runs, in an 11-1 rout of the Diamondbacks at Fenway Park.The Red Sox didn’t strike out once, and all nine starters drove in a run. It marked just the fourth time since 2000 that every starter in Boston’s lineup recorded an RBI and just the fourth time they’ve accomplished the feat at Fenway Park since 1950.
