Does Ryan Garcia vs Terence Crawford tempt Bud out of retirement
A Ryan Garcia vs Terence Crawford mega fight is a huge bout for the country and even for the entire sport around the planet. Maybe it’d be one of the bigger fights in America, considering the success of Bud vs Canelo last September in Las Vegas. Commercially a highly successful event but importantly it had […] The post Does Ryan Garcia vs Terence Crawford tempt Bud out of retirement appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
Could Ryan Garcia have the ability to go up and beat Canelo at middleweight
Ryan Garcia smoked Conor Benn in just the second round on Saturday night gone but very little can be taken from the fight overall, on balance at this point. Benn had not been in his class, not near it even. He got outclasses completely and fought a shockingly incompetent game plan. He also dehydrated badly, […] The post Could Ryan Garcia have the ability to go up and beat Canelo at middleweight appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
Technical boxing-wise and practically accessing a possible Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis catchweight bout
Ryan Garcia after beating Conor Benn called out Gervonta Tank Davis but asked for such a fight to be at 147 pounds. Tank knocked out Garcia viciously some years ago at this point and has been very inactive compared to Garcia, and, is much smaller than Garcia — a boxer that has made the move […] The post Technical boxing-wise and practically accessing a possible Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis catchweight bout appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
With the middleweight division being there for the taking at the moment could Ryan Garcia try to move up
The likes of Carlos Adames, Aaron Mckenna, Erislandy Lara and others surely do not inspire much fear or concern for Ryan Garcia if he is looking at a big challenge. Shakur Stevenson’s Meltdown Over Tim Bradley Exposes a Fragile Mind Behind the Defensive Genius
Shakur Stevenson called Tim Bradley booty — but the outburst reveals a fighter who is mentally fragile, untested at the highest level, and still lacking true star status. His best wins came against a declining Teofimo Lopez and a solid-but-unspectacular victory over Zepeda. That is the state of play at this time in his career, […] The post Shakur Stevenson’s Meltdown Over Tim Bradley Exposes a Fragile Mind Behind the Defensive Genius appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
Why beating a weight drained Conor Benn, a boxer from the UK no one knew in the US, does not make Ryan Garcia the new face of boxing in America
Beating a weight-drained opponent does not make Ryan Garcia the face of boxing. Nobody outside of the UK and Europe really heard of Conor Benn, that is the truth of it. A capable fighter and good toughness but not on the boxing ability level of Ryan Garcia, at the end of the day. Gulfs in […] The post Why beating a weight drained Conor Benn, a boxer from the UK no one knew in the US, does not make Ryan Garcia the new face of boxing in America appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
Canelo goes to Usyk gym in a surprising move to train before Christian Mbilli fight
Canelo Alvarez is training at Oleksandr Usyk’s gym before facing Christian Mbilli. The move is about adaptation, not alliance. At least, that is a lense in that is appears at the moment, at least. Strange though, Usyk on the decline, associating in any regard alongside non successful people is never advisable. Poor move from Canelo, […] The post Canelo goes to Usyk gym in a surprising move to train before Christian Mbilli fight appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
David Benavidez planning to fight at cruiser a smart move, Usyk wants no part of him
David Benavidez staying at cruiserweight is a smart career decision. Oleksandr Usyk has avoided the fight for good reason. Why Keith Thurman might be right about Shakur Stevenson needing to move up in weight
Keith Thurman says Shakur Stevenson should move up in weight. The logic behind his argument is sound. Stevenson looked impressive sure against Teofimo Lopez but that had been papering over the fact Lopez had been in big decline. Not that impressive a victory considering Teofimo Lopez is on the slide the last some number of […] The post Why Keith Thurman might be right about Shakur Stevenson needing to move up in weight appeared first on Boxing News and Views .

De La Hoya Frozen Out of Garcia-Benn — He’s Done at Boxing’s Highest Level

Ryan Garcia proves an old saying true in boxing against Conor Benn
Conor Benn entered fight night over 180 pounds, but it didn’t matter. This analysis breaks down why ability, not weight, decides fights in boxing. Firstly, Benn did not get his game plan right either. Too much aggression, not enough brains behind him being caught flat footed easily enough at times. Garcia too much ability for […] The post Ryan Garcia proves an old saying true in boxing against Conor Benn appeared first on Boxing News and Views .
Ryan Garcia Teofimo Lopez fight pales in comparison to the Ryan Garcia Devin Haney rematch or the Garcia Tank rematch
Ryan Garcia vs. Teofimo Lopez is a solid unification fight, but it lacks the bad blood, PPV history, and redemption storylines that make a Devin Haney rematch or a Gervonta “Tank” Davis rematch far bigger events. The demption ark is at play maybe for all three boxers in a sense, though Garcia and Haney have […] The post Ryan Garcia Teofimo Lopez fight pales in comparison to the Ryan Garcia Devin Haney rematch or the Garcia Tank rematch appeared first on Boxing News and Views .

Ryan Garcia one of the biggest boxing stars in US after Benn knockout but it could have been so much more in a Haney rematch
Ryan Garcia is now a bona fide American boxing star. But his refusal to rematch Devin Haney over an unresolved drug test feud may be costing him the biggest fight available.
