Entering the Blue Heron Division Championship of the Coconut Hoops Tournament in Fort Meyers, FL on Sunday afternoon, junior center Audi Crooks was already scoring more than one point per minute for No. 10 Iowa State, averaging almost 25 points per game in 24.5 minutes per game. She then took her incredible scoring proficiency and […]
What happens if the deadline passes and the WNBA doesn’t have a new CBA?
The extended deadline for the WNBA and WNBPA to agree to a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) expires at midnight on Sunday, Nov. 30. According to The Athletic, “significant gaps remain” between the two sides, with “the league’s salary system going forward,” persisting as the primary point of contention. The WNBA has broadcasted a significant […]
In Janiah Barker’s revenge game, No. 14 Tennessee can prove just how good they are
Tennessee opened their season with a last-minute loss to then-No. 9 NC State, knocking the Lady Vols from their preseason No. 8 ranking. Since then, now-No. 14 Tennessee has won five-straight games, albeit not against top opponents nor in particularly impressive fashion. Sunday, therefore, marks just the second time that head coach Kim Caldwell’s system, […]
Will No. 5 LSU score over 100 points for a record-extending eighth-straight game?
Seven games. Seven times scoring 100 points. Can No. 5 LSU make it eight and eight on Saturday when they meet Washington State in the Reef Division Championship of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+)? The Cougars, like all of the Tigers’ prior opponents, are not particularly imposing. Among the […]

For USC, Kara Dunn had another great game, scoring 19 points with incredible efficiency. She shot 80 percent from the field. Jazzy Davidson also played well. […]
Behind Rori Harmon’s heroics, No. 4 Texas earns another top-three upset, taking down No. 2 South Carolina
For the second-straight game, No. 4 Texas’ super seven took down a top-three ranked opponent. But once again, there was one Longhorn who mattered the most. Rori Harmon, who had a season-high 26 points against UCLA, hit a fading sideline jumper with less than one second remaining to break a 64-64 tie between SEC foes […]
With CBA negotiations ongoing, the WNBA doesn’t have certainty to be thankful for
The extended deadline for a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) expires this Sunday, Nov. 30. Based on all indications, the WNBA and WNBPA will not be expressing gratitude for the other side for making concessions, finding common ground and coming to terms on a new CBA this Thanksgiving weekend. Instead, a stalemate that seems as […]
Behind Marine Johannès’ debut and Dorka Juhász’s best game, Galatasaray finishes EuroLeague Women group play undefeated
Technically, the game did not matter in the context of the competition. Yet, Galatasaray has to feel good about their 50-point blowout win, 104-54, over Sopron in their final game of EuroLeague Women group play. The domination not only secured the club a perfect 6-0 record, but also saw the season debut of Marine Johannès […]

There will be plenty to celebrate this Thanksgiving at Ava Heiden’s family dinner table. Already, the 6-foot-4 sophomore has amassed an array of accomplishments in her first go-around as the starting center for No. 11 Iowa. Averaging 15.7 points and nine rebounds per game, Heiden was recognized as the Big Ten Player of the Week […]

With No. 4 Texas taking on No. 3 UCLA and No. 2 South Carolina facing Duke, the Players Era Championship had a couple of hot contests set up in Las Vegas. And it was the SEC that brought the heat, with both Texas and South Carolina claiming convincing victories. Harmon and the Horns held down […]

With the 2026 WNBA Draft order now finalized, five teams find themselves in position to add key pieces to their rosters. Here’s how each lottery team can maximize their selection: […]
Will the Dallas Wings select Awa Fam with the No. 1 pick, and if not, where will her WNBA career begin?
With no clear “best player available” in the 2026 WNBA Draft, Sunday night’s draft lottery, won for the second year in a row by the Dallas Wings, didn’t tell us much about who will be going where. Instead, it built up early scaffolding for those who like to theorize. Entering the season where we start […]
AP Top 25 poll discussion: The Iowas are on the rise as the Cyclones and Hawkeyes remain undefeated
A near fall-from-ahead loss to No. 6 Michigan did nothing to dent UConn’s No. 1 status in Week 4 of the AP Top 25 poll. In fact, the Huskies collected two more first-place votes, further cementing their standing atop women’s college basketball. Ahead of a buffet of Feast Week matchups, including multiple contests between top-five […]
The 2025 AmeriCup Team of Allisha Gray, Naz Hillmon, Veronica Burton and Shakira Austin shows USA Basketball is getting serious about 3×3
Since 3×3 debuted at the 2020 Olympics, the 3×3 women’s national team has seemed to occupy a somewhat strange, not totally defined place within the USA Basketball universe. Is the 3×3 team simply a stepping stone to the 5×5 national team, where a player’s participation in 3×3 competitions will eventually lead to opportunities in major […]

No. 9 Maryland may have found a special player in unheralded freshman Addi Mack
Maryland freshman Addi Mack played in the third-highest of Minnesota’s four high school divisions, Class AA. But somebody must have forgotten to tell her that her perceived lack of higher-level experience meant she wasn’t supposed to be a key NCAA Division I contributor right away, especially not on the No. 9 team in the country […]
