Ex-Seahawks Boye Mafe, Cody White make huge plays in Week 1 wins with new teams
The Seattle Seahawks may have had Sunday off after their Week 1 Wednesday victory over the New England patriots, but there were a couple of former Seahawks from last season’s Super Bowl team who made big impacts on their new teams. As part of a revamped Cincinnati Bengals defensive front, edge rusher Boye Mafe’s debut […]
Steelers fans growing frustrated with DK Metcalf after mistake-filled Week 1
On a wild, high-scoring opening Sunday of the NFL season, one game that was a complete eyesore to watch was the Pittsburgh Steelers laboring to a 20-13 win over an Atlanta Falcons team that was forced to start third-string quarterback Cooper Rush at the last minute. Mike McCarthy’s Steelers debut might have ended in a […]
An All-22 review of Jadarian Price’s encouraging Seahawks debut vs. Patriots
I’ve missed writing this weekly column. As a Seattle Seahawks fan and someone who loves the draft, one of the things I look forward to most is getting to study how Seattle’s rookies perform once the games actually count. Unfortunately — or perhaps fortunately, and I’ll explain why later — there isn’t much tape to […]
Seahawks News: How long will Sam Darnold be out for?
Nothing’s official-official yet. But, according to one trusted reporter, our man Sam Darnold will be out for at least four weeks, maybe longer. Thus, Drew Lock will most likely be QB1 for the Seattle Seahawks for multiple weeks, until the Ginga Ninja is all healed up. Knowing that the question was already posed and answered […]
PFT’s Mike Florio: Seahawks’ Sam Darnold could miss 4-6 weeks
While the rest of the NFL finishes off Week 1, the Seattle Seahawks have spent their weekend working through just how long they’ll be without their starting quarterback, Sam Darnold. There was apparent clarity on the injury early Sunday, with ESPN’s Ian Rapoport reporting that Darnold went down with a glute injury in the Seahawks’ […]
Myles Garrett placed on injured reserve in early NFC West twist
The Seattle Seahawks may be the reigning Super Bowl champions, but they entered the 2026 season as not even favorites to win the NFC West. Of course, that honor belonged to the Los Angeles Rams, whose trade for Myles Garrett put them over the top as preseason Super Bowl favorites. Well, the Rams got blown […]
Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold out ‘probably a couple games’ with glute injury
We have some clarification on Sam Darnold’s injury and when the Seattle Seahawks quarterback could return. According to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, Darnold actually didn’t have a hip injury in the team’s thrilling opening night win over the New England Patriots. Mike Macdonald said Darnold had some sort of muscle strain, and it turns out that […]
Understanding Terrion Arnold’s contract with the Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have set out on the defense of their Super Bowl title, upending the New England Patriots in a 13-10 come from behind victory to start out the 2026 season victorious. Up next for Mike Macdonald and crew is a Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals as the Hawks look for their […]
Seahawks News: Can Drew Lock keep the Seahawks afloat?
So far as we know now, Sam Darnold will be out next Sunday for the Seattle Seahawks game against the Arizona Cardinals. There is a chance that he’ll be sidelined for maybe a week or two further, but we’re not sure. In the meantime, Drew Lock, who did not look that bad at all last […]
Early 2027 NFL Draft prospects Seahawks fans should keep an eye on
The 2027 NFL Draft is still a long way away. That needs to be the first disclaimer. The college football season has barely started, and a lot will change between now and April. Players will emerge, others will fall, some will declare early, others will return to school, and a handful of prospects who aren’t […]
Seahawks News: Thoughts on the new Seahawks O after week one
Happy Saturday! Hit that snooze button, if you are permitted. With that being said, let’s dive into the links and discuss the Brian Fleury offense and your thoughts, at first blush. Knowing full well that Sam Darnold obviously did not play but four snaps, how were you feeling about the play-calling? Did you like the […]
Enemy Reaction 2026: New England Patriots (with bonus Rams meltdown!)
When the Seattle Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 of last season, they held a late 13-10 lead and gave up a game-winning touchdown in the final two minutes of regulation. Similar scenario in 2026 against the New England Patriots, and ‘The Dark Side’ wrote a different, happier ending to turn […]
8 snap count observations from Seahawks win over Patriots
It’s usually not all that notable when a team comes back from 10 points in the second half to win a game, but the Seattle Seahawks overcoming a 10-0 third quarter deficit to beat the New England Patriots 13-10 to start the 2026 NFL season is one of those exceptions. Sam Darnold was lost to […]
Seahawks News: Takeaways from Seahawks’ opening season win, Darnold injury
Below in today’s links, you will find a myriad of thoughts on last Wednesday’s match-up between our Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The fall out from the Sam Darnold injury is the headline of course, and subsequently, the solutions. Drew Lock has shown to be a capable QB2 in his time in Seattle, […]
‘No consideration of IR at this point’ for Sam Darnold, says Tom Pelissero
The Seattle Seahawks will likely not have quarterback Sam Darnold available for at least Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. Darnold was sacked by Dre’Mont Jones on the opening drive of Seattle’s 13-10 win over the New England Patriots, leaving the game with what was described as a hip injury. Thankfully for Darnold and the […]
Unstoppable Rams superteam easily stopped by 49ers, fall behind Seahawks after Week 1 stinker
The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2026 NFL season as overwhelming Super Bowl favorites following their headline-grabbing offseason. They almost made the actual reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks a total afterthought even though the Rams lost two out of three to Seattle. Well, they had their chance to make a great statement of intent […]
Seahawks fan chat: Who do you want to see lose more, the Rams or 49ers?
The Seattle Seahawks started their 2026 season with a comeback win over the New England Patriots, ensuring that they’ll be ahead of at least one of the San Francisco 49ers or Los Angeles Rams by the end of Week 1. Seattle and New England had to play on Wednesday to accommodate the Niners and Rams […]
Seahawks lose Bryce Cabeldue to Raiders following waiver claim
Prior to Thursday’s victory over the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks added some depth to their secondary with the elevation of AJ Finley to the 53 man roster to feel more secure in the home opener. With that came the corresponding move of cutting 2025’s sixth round pick Bryce Cabeldue. If the Seahawks hoped […]
Seahawks-Patriots post-game analysis: Not exactly where we left off, but close
Third quarter, down 10-0: “Well, it’s not like 2025 started that great, either.” Fourth quarter, as Drake Maye lofts the illest-advised pass of his career to your new favorite player, Joshua Jobe, Esq.: “Knew it. They had it all the way.” With a season-opening 13-10 rope-a-doping of Maye and his New England Patriots, the Seattle […]
Seahawks injury update: Sam Darnold expected to miss Week 2 vs. Cardinals
The Seattle Seahawks may have won their opening game against the New England Patriots, but the Super Bowl champions did lose starting quarterback Sam Darnold on the opening drive of the season with a hip injury. When it’s anything to do with the hip, the fear is a fracture or something that could indicate a […]
Seahawks show that the ‘Ready Squad’ is more than just a saying in win over Patriots
Mike Macdonald and John Schneider routinely mention that the Seahawks are not just 53 guys. Rather, they are a full 70-man roster, and that numbers 54-70 are not just a practice squad, but rather a “ready squad.” This sentiment was a large theme throughout “Hard Knocks” these past few weeks. Well it did not take […]
Seahawks opens Khosla era with patented ‘Seahawks Primetime BS’ game
The entire season for the Seattle Seahawks flashed before all of our eyes just five plays into the 2026 season opener against the New England Patriots. As most fans were still looking up and admiring the new Super Bowl 60 championship banner, Sam Darnold was sacked to stall the opening drive. It seemed like a […]
Seahawks News: Seahawks grind out big win at home over the Patriots
For several concrete reasons, your favorite team’s first game of an NFL season is always a bit messy, unpredictable, and usually is not an exact indicator of how the remainder of the schedule will play out. Bad teams look good early; good teams look bad early. Last night, our Seattle Seahawks endured an injury at […]
Mike Macdonald makes NFL history with Seahawks win over Patriots
It was not remotely as easy as Super Bowl 60, but the Seattle Seahawks once again beat the New England Patriots, this time rallying from a 10-0 2nd half deficit to prevail 13-10 on opening night of the 2026 NFL season. On a night of mixed emotions ranging from the joy of unveiling another Super […]
Seahawks’ Josh Jobe pulled off a game-winning pick not seen in NFL since 2021
When the Seattle Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers last season, Riq Woolen infamously looked to be in position to intercept Brock Purdy and seal a win up 13-10. The ball, of course, ended up in the hands of Jake Tonges for the game-winning touchdown, and it marked the shift of Woolen having to […]
