The Flyers have played six periods (and one overtime session) over two games. They would probably like to forget the first three periods they played against Pittsburgh (as would anyone else remotely associated or interested in the club). The game Thursday night against New Jersey had a slightly different outcome . They earned a point thanks to a solid Philadelphia debut by Joseph Woll, who swallowed up shots like crazy, controlled rebounds perfectly, and kept the Flyers from coming away empty-...

The offense clicked in a 7-0 win with six different goal-scorers, including two from newcomer Nicholas Robertson and one from offseason addition Hendrix Lapierre. Ville Koivunen even delivered early with a slick breakaway goal […]

DK's Daily Shot of Penguins: What's that laugher mean?
The Flyers closed out their season opening back-to-back on the road against the Devils, and while they were hoping to find a productive response to a gutting loss to the Penguins to open the season, the Flyers couldn’t push their game enough to claw their way to a win. Kept in it well enough to hang around for overtime by some pretty spectacular goaltending from Joseph Woll, things broke again in the wrong way for the Flyers on the way to another disappointing loss.
