Scared, Bears fans? Don’t be. We’ve known it was coming. Somehow, some way. Even when the Chicago Bears couldn’t seal the deal against the Detroit Lions, the Eagles made sure fate didn’t cheat us of what we deserve. Bears vs. Packers. Round 3. Win or go home. We’ve seen that movie twice before in recent […]
Of course Colston Loveland earned the best Bears player grade in Week 18.
You saw that performance, right?
Loveland was a pass-catching machine in Week 18. He hauled in 10 of 13 targets, came up with 91 receiving yards, and scored a touchdown that help set up the tying two-point conversion. His efforts came in a loss to the Detroit Lions, but there is no denying that the University of Michigan product was balling out in the regular-season finale.

The Detroit Lions squeaked by the Chicago Bears, washing a bit of the bad taste out of their mouths after a tumultuous three-game collapse to close the season. Kelvin Sheppard’s defense blanked Chicago through three quarters, while the Lions offense moved the ball reasonably well before repeatedly ramming its head into the brick wall that […]
It wasn’t the season anyone was hoping for, but the Detroit Lions at least finished the season by handing an NFL North rival a loss. After a 19-16 victory against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, the Detroit Lions finished the 2025 with a winning record of 9-8. Here’s a final look at some of the […]
The Detroit Lions showed some pride and grit on Sunday evening, walking off Soldier Field with a well-earned 19-16 victory over the playoff-bound Chicago Bears. It wasn’t the end we were hoping for, but it was a small beacon of light in an otherwise dark season. The game was a reminder of just how good […]
The 2025 regular season is officially over for the Chicago Bears after a dreadful loss to the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field, finishing 11-6 on the season. Before we get into this week’s Windy City Honor awards, I think it’s worth noting how pleasantly surprising and exciting this season was. After going 5-12 last season, […]
As the Detroit Lions shift into the 2026 offseason, they have 48 players who finished the season on the roster—on either the 53-man roster, practice squad, or injured reserve—who are not currently under contract with the organization. Let’s take a look at the four different groups those players can fall into, as well as which […]
The 2025 season is officially in the books. It was a season of growing pains and lessons, lessons from which the Detroit Lions will hopefully learn from as they restock for the 2026 season. The Lions have some soul searching to do in order to recapture their success of 2023 and 2024. Whether that means […]

The Detroit Lions’ 2025 season has come to a close, and the Lions now hold the No. 17 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. While the season is complete for over half the NFL, we’ve only just begun to establish the draft order for the majority of this year’s picks. At this stage, we know the […]
If you thought Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker was battling through injuries this year, buddy, you don’t know the half of it. After the Lions’ final game of the 2025 season—a gritty, last-second win over the Chicago Bears—Decker was going through a lot of emotions in the locker room. Clearly, he was thinking about […]
If you were a fan of draft position, this was not the outcome for you. If you were a fan of beating the Chicago Bears, grab yourself a seat and celebrate. Despite a disappointing season for the Detroit Lions, they still walked away from their 2025 campaign with a sweep of the Ben Johnson-led Chicago […]
In a rather meaningless Week 18 game, the Detroit Lions went on the road to play the Chicago Bears. Detroit didn’t care if the game didn’t matter to them, and they played to win. They dominated early on, and despite a late collapse by the defense, the offense saved the day to win the game, […]
The Detroit Lions walked away from the 2025 season with a win, sending a message to the Chicago Bears that they’ll be back in 2026. The win cost the Lions a few slots in draft position. Here’s where things stand heading into “Sunday Night Football.” The Lions currently have the 17th overall pick in the […]
The Chicago Bears made a valiant comeback in their game against the Detroit Lions, but for a second week in a row, that comeback attempt fell short. They lost 19 to 16 on a last-second Lions field goal. The loss dropped them to (11-6) on the season, but by virtue of the Washington Commanders’ 24 […]
The Philadelphia Eagles entered Week 18 needing two results to move up to the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture and host a struggling No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers team that’s finished the regular season on a five-game losing streak. The Lions did their part. They beat Chicago on a game-winning field […]
Caleb Williams and the offense, flat and plagued by drops for most of the day, did what they do every week—give the Chicago Bears a chance to win a football game. Williams and the offense erased a 16-point deficit on back-to-back fourth-quarter drives, but the Lions had the last laugh today with a game-winning Jake Bates field goal, splitting the uprights as time expired.

For the first three quarters of the Detroit Lions’ season finale against the Chicago Bears, we all had just one question: Where has this team been? The Green Bay Packers did what we all thought was pretty impossible just a month ago. They lost their last four games of the season, after starting 9-3-1, but still managed to make the playoffs because the Detroit Lions also had a late-season collapse. Over this same period, the Lions have gone 0-3, and they […]
