The Dallas Cowboys had their eyes on a potential quarterback of the future, even with Dak Prescott firmly entrenched as the starter. Per Todd Archer of ESPN, multiple sources indicated the Cowboys had "high interest" in former Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby when he attempted to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft.
The NFL ultimately declined to hold a supplemental draft this year, ending those chances and redirecting Sorsby toward the 2027 NFL Draft.
