The Bears could be facing a backup quarterback when they take the field in Cincinnati on Sunday. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said veteran Joe Flacco is “ 50-50 ” to play against Chicago as he continues to battle a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. Flacco, who finished last week’s 39-38 loss to the Jets, returned to practice Thursday in a limited capacity after sitting out Wednesday, testing the injured shoulder on a rainy afternoon in Cincinnati.
Flacco’s availability remains ...

The calendar is turning to November and it’s time for teams to really separate themselves. Teams that are going to make a run at the playoffs have to start playing well. The teams that aren’t, are going to shift into “who do we fire?” and “how high will the draft pick be?” mode. Thankfully, the […]

We are fast approaching the midpoint of the NFL season. I don’t know about you, but the season is moving by a lot faster than the weeks that led up to it. Many people leading up to the season viewed this as about the point where we can fairly evaluate where a Ben Johnson and […]
Trey Hendrickson trade to Colts may hinge on Bengals v Bears result! Good injury news!
The Bears head to Cincinnati this weekend trying to rebound from their loss in Baltimore — and they’ll do it with one of the thinnest secondaries they’ve fielded all season. Jaylon Johnson, Tyrique Stevenson, and Kyler Gordon have all been ruled out, leaving Chicago’s defensive backfield in scramble mode heading into a matchup that could hinge on who lines up at quarterback for the Bengals.
That remains the story in Cincinnati, where Joe Flacco’s status is very much in doubt. Bengals coac...
As the Chicago Bears prepare for the eighth game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, we are starting to get the first official team injury reports for week nine. The biggest news is all of the WRs that were listed as DNP (did not practice) on Wednesday for the Bears. This includes […]
The first Chicago Bears injury report of Week 9 is OUT, and it fills me with mixed emotion. There is some good news to start the week. It would be a welcome sight if that carries over through the rest of the week and into Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. But there is also some concerning news. It feels too early to call it bad news, but there are some names on the Bears injury report that we’ll keep an eye on throughout the week.

The Dallas Cowboys have been linked in NFL trade rumors to Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson again. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler was the one to provide the link on Wednesday morning. Up to this point, the Bengals have rebuffed trade inquiries, and sources have maintained that Cincinnati has no plans to trade Hendrickson right now. […]
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano (subscription), the Indianapolis Colts still seem like a logical trade destination for Cincinnati Bengals reigning All-Pro pass rusher Trey Hendrickson—even with their current caveat that “Cincinnati has no plans to trade Hendrickson right now”: “Up to this point, the Bengals have rebuffed trade inquiries, and sources have […]
It’s one of those moments where last week’s Read & React — the Steelers’ defensive issues against the Bengals — could just be copy and pasted into this week’s edition. But to avoid repeating ourselves too much, this time around we’ll be looking ahead at the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4 along with our […]
The Cleveland Browns, along with the other teams near the bottom of the standings, will be connected to several potential trades between now and the NFL’s trade deadline on November 4. General manager Andrew Berry has already made three deals since the start of the season, sending veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals […]
Justin Fields’ Week 8 success for the Jets in their win over the Cincinnati Bengals was a surprise to many of us. It continues one of the biggest roller coaster seasons in recent memory. ESPN’s QBR metric grades quarterbacks on a scale of 1 to 100 based on their play. Week 8 was his sixth […]
Early in their Week 8 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, it looked like the Jets were on their way to a blowout loss. With just under five and a half minutes to go in the second quarter, Cincinnati led 17-3. The Jets faced a fourth and two on the Bengals 15. What followed was a […]
The Steelers haven’t had a lot to celebrate over the last two weeks, dropping two games in a row to the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers, respectively. The latest loss was largely a copy and paste of the defensive woes from Week 7. There was a small number of quality performances that should be […]
While the Las Vegas Raiders were on a bye during Week 8, they did get some help when it comes to their odds to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. With the New York Jets pulling off a comeback against the Cincinnati Bengals, there are no more winless teams in […]
The Jets won their first game of the 2025 season in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. With the team out of the Playoff race, all eyes are on positioning for next year’s NFL Draft. The Jets began the day owning the top pick. They dropped in the order with the win but only to […]
The Jets defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 action. One consistent theme through the early part of the 2025 season is that the Jets have leaned on young players with heavy snap totals. That remained true in the first victory of the season. Eleven first or second year Jets players saw at least 20 […]
Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets pulled off a scintillating fourth quarter comeback from a 15 point deficit to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday. It was the first win of the season for the Jets. Justin Fields, who had endured horrific performances and relentless criticism recently, silenced his critics for the time […]
For the first time since leaving, Aaron Rodgers will face the Green Bay Packers. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, who just lost to the winless New York Jets today. Whenever Mike Tomlin is expected to win, it doesn’t turn out well. The Steelers are slight underdogs to the […]
Some early Week 9 odds are available from our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, and they have the Chicago Bears as a 2.5-point road favorite over the Cincinnati Bengals. Earlier today, the Bears (4-3) were thoroughly whipped by the Baltimore Ravens, 30 to 16, in a game that saw Chicago dominate the first quarter statistically, but […]
A legendary New York sports announcer was famous for frequently saying, “You can’t predict baseball.” He was right. He also would have been right had he ever declared, “You can’t predict football.” Who could have predicted what played out on the field in Week 8 in Cincinnati against the Bengals? The New York Jets had […]
The Jets got their first win of the 2025 season in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals in a 39-38 thriller. Let’s see how the team’s embattled quarterback and head coach responded to the victory. It has been a difficult two months for the Jets. I doubt anybody around the team expected an 0-7 start. […]
In the New York Jets’ eighth game of the 2025 season, on a cool, partly cloudy autumn afternoon in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Jets beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 39 – 38 in a wild back and forth contest. The first half saw the Jets offense show some life, but the Jets defense fail miserably on the […]
