The Chicago Bears actually won a wild game that required scoring over 45 points. It’s truly a new era for the Bears. The defense is the problem, but the offense is carrying the weight. Overall, it’s far from perfect, but the Bears are 5-3 nearly halfway through the season. Above .500 after Halloween. That’s progress. […]
1. No one cares if the Bengals’ defense is trash or if Colston Loveland only scored that game-winning touchdown because of bad tackling. That game-winning throw by Caleb Williams was immaculate—possibly the most “superstar” throw we’ve seen from him in the NFL, considering the circumstances. Enjoy it, and enjoy these cardiac Chicago Bears being the […]
The Cincinnati Bengals received a 7th-round pick in 2026 in exchange for linebacker Logan Wilson earlier on Tuesday morning. So, the Dallas Cowboys have a new linebacker. That is a price any team could have pulled off, suggesting the San Francisco 49ers are content with Tatum Bethune moving forward. On Monday, the Baltimore Ravens received […]
On the morning of the 2025 trade deadline, Dallas has sent a 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for linebacker Logan Wilson. The veteran walks in as an immediate upgrade to one of the weakest points on the Cowboys’ historically bad defense. Wilson, now in his sixth season, was a third-round pick by […]
We’ve talked about some crazy games during our time doing Bear & Balanced, but none quite as crazy as yesterday’s 47 to 42 Chicago Bears win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Eight lead changes, 1,071 total yards of offense, 31 fourth-quarter points, and a couple of firsts in NFL history by the Bears. Chicago shook off […]
It was a wild Halloween weekend. In fact, I think I’ve aged about 15 years since I took my children trick-or-treating on Friday night. All of that is to say that I hope we never have to watch a ballgame like that one against the Cincinnati Bengals again. But how fun was it to see […]
Bears News Chicago Bears rookie running back Kyle Monangai delivered a monster performance in his first NFL start, rushing for 176 yards and adding 22 receiving yards in a 47-42 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The seventh-round pick totaled 198 scrimmage yards on 29 touches while filling in for injured starter D’Andre Swift. […]
The Bears are in the thick of the playoff hunt. Sitting at 5-3 after a last minute victory against the Bengals, it appears the Bears would be buyers ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline. Insiders like Jay Glazer have been noting that the Bears will be aggressive in adding to their roster. Many around the league […]
The Bears pulled off a wild one in Cincinnati, outlasting the Bengals 47-42 in a shootout , and the crew was fired up to break it all down on this week’s Bleacher Nation Bears Podcast, presented by Obvious Shirts .
Hosts Patrick Flowers, Matt Rooney, and Luis Medina open the show with instant reactions to one of the most thrilling finishes of the season — and another big-time performance from Caleb Williams. The rookie quarterback showed off his full arsenal, keeping the Bears’ offense ro...
Bears edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo suffered a torn Achilles in the team’s win over the Bengals on Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport announced on Monday. As a result, he will miss the remainder of the 2025 regular season. Odeyingbo was one of the prized free agent acquisitions that Ryan Poles made this past offseason, as […]
The Chicago Bears won a thriller against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9, which makes it so much easier for us to tackle the Cairo Santos situation without rage-typing so hard that I need a new keyboard. Santos made two field goals and five extra points in a 47-42 Bears victory in which every point mattered. And I’m thankful that he had those points.
However, I can’t stop thinking about the two misses.
Only one of the misses counted for the record book because a Bengals offside pena...
Anyone else still struggling to catch their breath after the final two and a half minutes of Sunday’s game in Cincinnati? It was an up-and-down game that saw eight lead changes, and when it felt like the Chicago Bears had all but salted the game away with just over two minutes remaining, the Bengals scored […]
The Bears head into the 2025 NFL trade deadline on a high note, having defeated the Bengals 47-42 on Sunday in one of the craziest matchups in the team’s recent history. Now that they sit at 5-3 coming out of Week 9, they’re well positioned for what should be a competitive playoff race for the […]
That was a fantastic and fun roller-coaster-of-emotions type of game, with so many lead changes and improbable moments. On Sunday afternoon, the Chicago Bears beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 47-42. That was Chicago’s most points scored since 2018, when they put up 48. This was also the first time the Bears had ever won a game […]
The Chicago Bears fought for all 60 minutes, and in the end, they came out victorious against the Cincinnati Bengals, overcoming a huge Bengals’ fourth-quarter comeback. After this 47-42 win, the Bears’ advance to 5-3 on the season. This high-scoring game was equally exciting and messy, leaving fans on the tip of their toes. We […]
The New York Jets are coming off their bye week after finally winning their first game of the year against the Cincinnati Bengals a week ago. The Jets offense had a monster game, with more than 500 yards of total offense. Justin Fields rebounded from being benched the week prior with one of the finest […]
Have a day, Colston Loveland!
The Chicago Bears are back in the win column with their Week 9 triumph against the Cincinnati Bengals. And, naturally, that means the return of the behind-the-scenes look at what goes down in the winning locker room. Ben Johnson’s second road win as a first-year head coach was a memorable one. It wasn’t for the faint of heart. However, it is one we’ll be talking about for a while thanks to the heroics of rookies Colston Loveland and Kyle Monangai.
BEARS ...
I’ve written and re-written this post in my head more times than I’d care to admit. But all is well that ends well with a Chicago Bears victory in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was absurd, ridiculous, and unthinkable. There were unfathomable plays, irredeemable mistakes, and events that occurred that words cannot accurately describe. But I’ll do my best to put words together in a way that they make sense as I go about recapping this game.
FINAL: Chicago Bears 47, Cincinnati Be...
It’s not hyperbolic to call that Chicago Bears 47 to 42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals one of the craziest games in Bears history. It was a back-and-forth contest with over a thousand combined yards of offense that fittingly came down to the final seconds. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams continues to show that clutch-gene that […]
In a game where defense was optional on both sides and no lead felt safe, it was Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland delivering the game-winning touchdown.
This is how the Bears won their Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals:

Colston Loveland’s 58-yard touchdown is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen. And in a game that saw so ...
It was a barnburner from start to finish, but the Chicago Bears came away from Sunday with a 47-42 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, improving to 5-3 on the 2025 season. Both defenses failed to put together solid outings, while both offenses were tremendous in the showdown in Cincinnati. The Bears moved the ball consistently […]
Bengals coach Zac Taylor just went full John Fox — and the end result was a Bears touchdown.
Taylor threw a review flag hoping that Bears wideout DJ Moore fumbled the ball through the end zone. That would’ve given the Bengals the ball at the 20. At worse, I imagine the Cincy head coach thought it would be Bears ball at the 1-yard line as it was called on the field. Instead, this play goes down as a Chicago Bears touchdown:
After review, DJ Moore crosses the goal line for a 17-yard ru...
The Chicago Bears will be without tight end Cole Kmet for the rest of their Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Kmet went down after making a first-down catch during the first half and was evaluated for a concussion. And early in the third quarter, the Bears announced Kmet would not return:
#Bears TE Cole Kmet has been ruled OUT. https://t.co/TIaEutTP0d — Bears Communications (@BearsPR) November 2, 2025
This is a bummer for Cole Kmet, who missed his first game last...
The Chicago Bears offense has the Cincinnati Bengals defense confused and befuddled in the early going.
This is how they took the lead early in the second quarter after falling behind following a Cincinnati Bengals field goal:

I am 100 percent here for the trickery, gadgetry, pageantry, and misdirection. The play above to Olamide Zaccheaus came on Chicago’...
Week 9 is here, and the early slate of games are ready to kickoff while we wait for the New Orleans Saints to kick off in Los Angeles along with the late slate of games. Here is today’s early slate: Chicago at Cincinnati Minnesota at Detroit Carolina at Green Bay Los Angeles Chargers at Tennessee […]
