Amen Thompson’s third season was one to remember, as it saw Thompson take on a larger offensive role. ESPN revealed earlier this week that the Houston guard/forward collected a few second-place votes for Defensive Player of the Year, with the San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembenyama winning the award unanimously. Thompson has received mixed reviews for […]
In Today’s Links: the day has finally arrived. The day that most likely, our beloved Seattle Seahawks trade out of the first round and make us all wait until tomorrow to make their first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Last time the FO had this few picks, they kind of goofed. Although, I will […]

We’re trying something different on the blog. We’re going to highlight posts on The Feed that we think are worth calling out. Sometimes that will mean that they are well thought out. Sometimes it will just be a topic to discuss (like the one below). This isn’t meant to be a popularity contest, but it […]

Trevor Lewis officially announced his retirement from the NHL, closing out a 17-season career that took him from a first-round pick in 2006 to a two-time Stanley Cup champion.
The 39-year-old Salt Lake City native posted a message on social media writing on what the journey meant to him.
"As a kid growing up in Utah, I could have never imagined this journey," Lewis wrote. "Playing over 1,000 games and winning two Stanley Cups. Those milestones aren't just numbers to me, they represent year...
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver NuggetsDate: April 23rd, 2026Time: 8:30 PM CDTLocation: Target CenterTelevision Coverage: Prime Video There’s a moment in every playoff series where everything flips. One team realizes it can win. The other realizes, oh wait, this might actually be a fight. Game 2 in Denver was that moment. For about 13 minutes, the […]
INDEPENDENCE — The Toronto Raptors made their first major lineup adjustment of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers when they decided to bench their typical starting center, Jakob Poeltl, for the entire second half in Game 2. Instead, they opted to go small with the 6’7” Collin Murray-Boyles and the 6’9” Sandro Mamukelashvili nominally playing […]
Yesterday, the Michigan State Men’s Basketball Team announced that Divine Ugochukwu was leaving the team and entering the transfer portal. At TOC, we were getting ready to write an article comparing the amount of portal defections among all the Big Ten schools as we expected to have a big zero next to our name. So […]
It was hard to watch on Tuesday as Victor Wembanyama collided with Jrue Holiday just minutes into the second quarter. Upon impact, Wemby lost his balance and landed face first onto the hardwood. In the immediate aftermath, it was unclear if Wemby had been knocked unconscious. After a few moments, he turned around appearing to […]
In Wednesday’s Brotherhood Playoff Action, Detroit beat Orlando, 98-83, and OKC tamed Phoenix, 120-107. Detroit didn’t have too much trouble with Orlando in this one, though Paolo Banchero scored 18 points and also had 6 rebounds and 8 assists. With just three points, Wendell Carter didn’t have a great game, though his rivalry with Jalen […]
On Wednesday, Isaiah Evans announced that he would enter the 2026 NBA Draft, and through the course of the day, it sort of became clear that things are a little bit different now for Duke Basketball. This is not a knock on anyone, but see if this rings true to you: Duke fans feel more […]
Nominal positions are worthless in the era of positionless basketball. The Brad Underwood era has aligned perfectly with the rise of social media sports discourse. In other words, the Brad Underwood era has aligned with the volume elevation of the dumbest corners of sports fandom. It’s unfortunate because the Underwood era has been largely a […]
INDEPENDENCE — Brothers Jaylon and Jordyn Tyson have a friendly wager on whether Jordyn will be a top-10 NFL Draft pick. Unfortunately, Jaylon won’t be able to go to the draft or even watch it on TV live to find out who wins the bet. The Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Toronto Raptors at the […]
It’s impossible not to think back to the unprecedented shooting bombardment Boston endured in a Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat in the opening round of the 2024 playoffs, which will have happened two years to the day when the Celtics travel to Philadelphia for Game 3 of their current first round matchup. On […]

The NBA Draft Lottery is a wonderful event. Using the latest in retirement home bingo technology, the wealthiest and most advanced basketball association in the world leaves the order of the upcoming draft up to chance. For some invitees, this is the event of the season — the singular moment where they learn if their […]
The NFL Draft is in Pittsburgh in 2026, and the Seattle Seahawks enter this year with just four picks. Oh well, I guess a Lombardi Trophy is the consolation. This is not considered one of the stronger or deeper draft classes in recent memory, so maybe the Seahawks not having a lot of picks is hardly a […]
The NFL Draft begins Thursday in Pittsburgh rumors have been swirling about which prospect teams will pick. The Minnesota Vikings have been linked to safety Dillon Thieneman and more recently to tight end Kenyon Sadiq, although not as strongly as Thieneman has been. However, there is no guarantee either prospect will be available when the […]
The Knicks head to State Farm Arena tonight for Game Three against the Hawks, tied 1-1 in their first-round playoff series. New York needs to reclaim momentum after blowing a 12-point fourth-quarter lead in Game Two and giving the series a queasy, slippery feeling. The Knicks entered Game Two with a 40-1 record when leading […]
When a team is shorthanded like the Lakers are, the only way to not only survive but thrive is for everyone who is available to step up. The Lakers have gotten that during this postseason from Marcus Smart. One of the ways he’s stepped up is as a vocal leader. As a 12-year veteran and […]
On Tuesday, during his pre-draft availability, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen indicated that he picked the brain of Boston Celtics’ NBA Champion President of Basketball Operations (and former Butler University Men’s Basketball coach) Brad Stevens. Only, it wasn’t really about basketball. Rather, Steichen sought out any guidance that Stevens may be able to share […]
Playoff basketball demands a higher level of intensity. The stakes are raised, which means every possession matters more, every game can swing a series and the focus on physicality has to be elevated. If there’s a player on the Lakers who knows this and is capable of it better than most, it’s LeBron James. At […]
Mock draft season is almost over. Well, 2026 mock draft season is almost over, because 2027 mock drafts will be starting the minute this weekend’s NFL Draft is finished. One thing we like to do is see how the national media views what the Seattle Seahawks will do, usually because the end result is they’re […]
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in complete control of their first-round series against the Toronto Raptors so far. They’ve cruised to stress-free wins in the first two games of this series, but anything can happen when the series shifts to a different venue. “The series hasn’t even started yet until you go on the road,” […]
