Eagles 2026 NFL Draft Preview

Note: I have full scouting reports on every player mentioned in this piece over at Bleeding Green Nation, so rather than repeating them all here, I’ll focus on the draft strategy and how each player fits the Eagles specifically. Just click on my profile page to see them all. This article is sort of a […]

Close, but still not good enough: Cubs 8, Phillies 7

The Phillies finally showed some signs of life, but nevertheless they still couldn’t manage to finally break their losing streak, which has now extended to nine games. They erased a 6-2 deficit and tied it at 7-7 in the ninth, but ultimately, they couldn’t find a way to win in extras while Dansby Swanson walked […]

NFL Mock Draft 2026: Final 7-round Eagles prediction

The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2026 NFL Draft with eight picks, all within the first six rounds. Here’s what I think they might do with them. 1 (No. 23) – Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State The Eagles trading up for an offensive tackle in the 2026 NFL Draft is a strong bet; they’ve been […]

For better or worse, special teams headlined Flyers’ Game 3 win

Last night’s Game 3 for the Flyers was little short of an event. Between some interesting penalty calling , a whole lot of brawling, and a host of different faces stepping up in meaningful ways on the way to that victory, the return of playoff hockey to South Philadelphia was something to remember. The night was downright overflowing with storylines, but as far as the game itself goes, some of the very best of the game, and the very worst, unfolded for the Flyers on opposite sides of the ...

Flyers’ Dan Vladar ‘feels better’ after injury scare against Penguins

Fans of the Philadelphia Flyers held their collective breath when goaltender Dan Vladar appeared shaken up in Wednesday night’s Game 3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Vladar did not take part in Thursday’s practice at the Flyers Training Center. However, Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet revealed after practice that while Vladar is hurting, he was simply given the day off for maintenance. Exhale. “It’s more of a maintenance day,” Tocchet told the media...

Flyers thriving against Penguins with team effort and balanced scoring

The series isn’t over, and the Flyers still have one more win to get to the second round, but thus far Philadelphia has been perfect. They are shutting down one of the better offensive teams in 2025-26 while at times putting on a defensive clinic that hasn’t been seen in some time. Heading into the series, much was made of the fact how deep the Penguins were, with a dozen players scoring 13 or more goals. So even if the Flyers somehow stopped Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, they still had the...

Ranking all of Howie Roseman’s Eagles first-round picks

From steadily rising through the organization to Chip Kelly kicking him to the curb to nabbing two Super Bowl rings, it’s been a hell of a ride for Howie Roseman in Philadelphia. Joining the Eagles in 2000 as an intern, Roseman became general manager in 2010, holding that title for a few seasons before Kelly’s […]

Phillies release Taijuan Walker

Prior to Thursday’s game against the Cubs, the Phillies announced that Taijuan Walker was released. Walker pitched Wednesday night’s game behind Kyle Backhus, allowing five runs, four of them earned, in only four innings. It was not all of his fault; Justin Crawford dropped a shallow flyball that eventually led to a run. But it […]

What are the possible changes the Phillies could make right now?

The times, they are bad. The vibes, they are also bad. Pretty much everything associated with the Phillies right now is bad. Nothing is going right and the product on the field is approaching (if it hasn’t already reached) unwatchable. Change has been demanded by many that follow the team, but realistically, what can they […]

Cubs 7, Phillies 2: Michael Busch’s first 2026 homer helps the team to its eighth straight win

The Cubs have found many different ways to win during their current eight-game winning streak. Blowouts (three straight games with 10+ runs). Extra-inning thrillers (over the Mets on Sunday). Winning despite leaving 17 on base (Tuesday). And Wednesday, a home run by a player who’s been struggling at the plate helped galvanize the offense. Michael […]

Is it time for the Phillies to do something drastic?

The Phillies are a mess right now. You know it. I know it. They know it. To paraphrase the great Yogi Berra, it’s getting late early. You cannot win a division or a pennant in April, but you can certainly lose one. And you can do that by doing things like winning two of your […]
