Did the Red Sox Really Lose the Kyle Harrison Trade?

Death, taxes, and the Boston Red Sox trading away back-of-the-rotation pitching arms. In the past year, the Red Sox have traded away Richard Fitts, Connelly Early, Hunter Dobbins, Shane Drohan, and David Sandlin. Yet, none of these were more controversial than the trade of Kyle Harrison. As the Red Sox struggled through the first few […] The post Did the Red Sox Really Lose the Kyle Harrison Trade? appeared first on Just Baseball .

'Bizarre' Update on Ketel Marte's No-Show For Diamondbacks Monday Night

Ketel Marte did not show up at the ballpark Monday night for the Arizona Diamondbacks ' game with the Boston Red Sox and was placed on the restricted list by the team minutes before the game.  But the "bizarre" twist was that Marte was seen at the hotel bar well after the game: From what I can gather Ketel Marte was seen at the team hotel bar with a group of people around 11 pm last night. So definitely was seen at the hotel late last night. I have covered sports in this market for ...

Patriots News: Eagles Week, camp takeaways, Year-2 leaps

It’s Eagles Week! Joint practices will be held Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a Saturday night preseason game on August 22nd at 7:00 pm. The only winners I’m concerned about will be the players who finish the week uninjured. My injury anxiety is real, and it’s spectacular. Before the game however we have plenty of […]

Patriots Bolster Offensive Line with Addition of Greg Van Roten

The New England Patriots are bolstering their offensive line by bringing in veteran offensive guard Greg Van Roten to help improve the Patriots offensive line depth. The signing comes in response to some injury losses being suffered during the preseason opener versus the Indianapolis Colts last week.  Van Roten has played in the NFL for [...] The post Patriots Bolster Offensive Line with Addition of Greg Van Roten appeared first on CLNS Media .

Snake Bytes, 8/18: No Shows

Game Recaps Diamondbacks, minus Ketel Marte, look uninspired in a Boston blowout by Nick Piecoro [AZ Central] Lefty Mitch Bratt gave up three runs in three innings and right-hander Zack Littell allowed eight runs (six earned) in 3 2/3 innings. It was just the Diamondbacks’ 13th loss in their past 34 games — they entered […]

Browns Made Two Roster Moves

Per Chris Easterling, the Browns have signed WR Ben Patterson and waived OL Jack Conley on Tuesday. Conley, 25, went undrafted out of Boston College in 2025 when he caught on with the Patriots. He was among their final roster cuts and was brought back to the practice squad, later being released by New England. […] The post Browns Made Two Roster Moves appeared first on NFLTradeRumors.co .

Red Sox make strikeout history (the good kind)

Strikeouts are fascist.* The Red Sox, ergo, stand for democracy and classically liberal values, because last night they did this: In baseball terms, 1949 was a looooooong time ago. Players still left their gloves on the field, for chrissakes! Like a lot of baseball fans (maybe?) I’ve long wondered what it would be like to […]

What message did Tom Brady give Ty Simpson?

Ty Simpson was taking part in a Fanatics event when he was gifted a message of encouragement and a signed jersey, all from Tom Brady. The video is below, as is the quote from Brady to Simpson and it’s all very wholesome. If you can forget for a moment that Brady won two Super Bowls […]

Undrafted rookie Jacob Rizy taking increased Patriots role in stride

When Ben Brown went down in the first quarter of the preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots were forced to adapt. That meant inserting third-string center Jacob Rizy into the lineup much sooner than initially anticipated. Rizy ended up playing 55 straight snaps to close out the 13-13 game, taking the […]

Why Doc Rivers’ Hall of Fame induction felt so important

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen feud felt so distant and settled that the announcement that they would introduce their 2008 championship head coach Doc Rivers at his Hall of Fame induction didn’t immediately stand out as significant. That’s until the visuals of them arriving, joining together and sitting in […]

Red Sox snap out of offensive funk with 11-run outburst against Diamondbacks

Boston opened its six-game homestand by pounding out 16 hits, including seven doubles and two home runs, in an 11-1 rout of the Diamondbacks at Fenway Park. The Red Sox didn’t strike out once, and all nine starters drove in a run. It marked just the fourth time since 2000 that every starter in Boston’s lineup recorded an RBI and just the fourth time they’ve accomplished the feat at Fenway Park since 1950.
